Hillsboro Firefighters Local 2210 is comprised of dedicated fire suppression, emergency medical, prevention, and inspection professionals serving one of Oregon’s fastest-growing and most economically important communities.
The City of Hillsboro is home to approximately 112,735 residents and is the largest city in Washington County. Hillsboro is also a major employment center, with more than 50,000 people commuting into the city for work each day. Our community is home to some of the world’s leading technology and advanced manufacturing companies, including Intel and Genentech, and serves as a major hub of Oregon’s Silicon Forest.
Hillsboro Fire & Rescue provides all-hazard emergency services across approximately 25.67 square miles from six strategically located fire stations, including the new Station 9 serving the rapidly growing South Hillsboro community. The department has approximately 154 personnel protecting Hillsboro’s residents, businesses, workers, and visitors.
Our members also protect the Port of Portland’s Hillsboro Airport (HIO), Oregon’s second-busiest airport and largest general aviation airport. Hillsboro Airport supports corporate aviation, air ambulance operations, flight training, aircraft maintenance, charter operations, and other aviation businesses.
In 2025 alone, Hillsboro Fire & Rescue responded to 15,113 calls for service, including 13,820 emergency medical calls and 1,293 fire-related calls.
